My life could have been the same as an ordinary teenager. Except my dad is Poseidon, and I live in a camp full of half Gods and mythical creatures. So instead, my days are spent combatting half-lion half-humans and trying to live a somewhat normal life. But normalcy has just gone out the window. My friend Annabeth is missing, a Goddess is in chains, and only five of us can join the quest to save the day. Oh and guess what. The Oracle has predicted that not all of us will survive.

I love Christmas and winter In books

Like I-ve said in my previous reviews of this series, these books are fabulous adventure yarns that give Harry Potter a run for his money. Like I-ve said in my previous reviews of this series, these books are fabulous adventure yarns that give Harry Potter a run for his money.

I actually re-read the whole PJO series last week. They are just as cool now as they were when I was 9.

Well, this started off slow but the last 50 pages were amazing. I feel tired whenever Luke pops up in the series. He brings some minions to kill percy and his friends but fails...same thing again and again...I wish there was a better villain.

4/5 stars, these endings leave off on such a cliffhanger wow Despite feeling like the same formula over and over for these books I-m enjoying it I have to say. I-m reading this series for a friend, and I am thinking otherwise I would be taking breaks in between. The formula obviously works because I do enjoy the story every time, but it just feels like the same thing over and over again. One thing that I did enjoy about this book is how fast-paced it was, we immediately launch into the story in the beginning chapter and it doesn-t slow down after that. Sometimes it felt like a bit much, but I did enjoy how it kept going and didn-t slow down. This made the regular formu exciting and made the new characte interesting. In the book, though there were a few characters from previous books that were missing, and this made this a little less enjoyable for me. I understand in a sense why they were missing, so we could usher in a few new characters and side stories, but I still missed them. (I used "miss" a lot in those few sentences I-m so sorry lol). On the flip side, I did mostly enjoy the new characters that were introduced in this one! We have been introduced to Biana & Nico as well as Zoe, and Artemis for the first time. I really enjoyed Zoe the most, she was strong and amazing, as well as a great leader in Artemis- hunters. My biggest complaint about this book is the few character deaths we had. I felt that they were uneventful, or even stupid in how they died (I won-t tell you who don-t worry). I just felt that they died for stupid reasons, I understand one of the deaths, but the other was just not needed. I hated how they went down and honestly sat there after, just asking why it happened. Overall, my favorite book so far but hoping it expands past the "quest and now achieve it" in the next books in the series!

as a kid, the titan-s curse was always my favourite pjo book. the high stakes of the prophecy, the development and looming darkness of all the prophecies and kronos, the femme fatale gang that is the hunters, and last but not least the bi awakening that is thalia grace. i still love it, maybe ev than before? i-m eating these books up because they make me feel like my only problems in the world are my minute multiplication tables and spelling tests and i like that. anyway. as a kid, the titan-s curse was always my favourite pjo book. the high stakes of the prophecy, the development and looming darkness of all the prophecies and kronos, the femme fatale gang that is the hunters, and last but not least the bi awakening that is thalia grace. i still love it, maybe ev than before? i-m eating these books up because they make me feel like my only problems in the world are my minute multiplication tables and spelling tests and i like that. anyway.

Why was my favourite thing about this book a sea cow?

This one had a bit of a slow start to me, but amped up nicely. One really minor thing that bugs me is that Percy and his mom NEVER say they love each other!

hopefully this reread will get me out of my slump!!

Tbh the plot is getting quite formulaic at this point - person close to Percy gets kidnapped/held hostage, Percy goes on a quest to save them, Kronos does some shady stuff in the background. Also, as soon as the quest starts, Percy just jumps place to place battling a different monster in every chapter. What Rick Riordan continues to excel in are the characters (especially the Greek Gods) and their relationships. I think this series so far would have been even better if this was broug to the forefront. Between the action sequences, there isn-t really much time for the characters to breathe and reflect on what has just happened. The final 20%, however, was the best yet of the series, delivering an emotionally impactful ending, whilst setting up further challenges for the next book.
